Welcome to RedElkCrafts

Hello! And welcome to my shop and my small creative outlet.
As a stay-at-home parent to two lively little boys, it is sometimes challenging to find the time (or space!) to create and craft, not to mention trying to keep paper crafting safe from messy faces and curious little hands!

A few years ago I made the big decision to step away from my job during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was a big change in my life to make this choice, but my former employer’s lack of support helped me realise that I had to put my family, and myself, first.
During this period at home I found a little time here and there to create my Card Snugs for myself, as I am a keeper of cards and do struggle to let them go. I have made them for years for myself to keep them safe and realised perhaps someone else might want one too. So, I decided to spend some time creating better ones, sourcing better materials and improving how I create them. It has become something, other than parenting, that I can call my own and hope to build and grow over time.

My “workspace” is firmly centred at our family dining table, and our dining room is slowly being overtaken by my crafting stash! I am often surrounded by my family and my noisy little ones who may sometimes add their own crayon based touch to what I am working on! Although, I endeavour to not send anything out covered in paint!
